JAKARTA (THE JAKARTA POST/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Three people were injured during a river rapids ride at a Jakarta theme park when a raft suddenly flipped over.
The incident happened at the Ancol Dreamland Park in North Jakarta on Sunday (Oct 23).
Five people were inside the raft when it was turned upside down in a wave.
One of them suffered light injuries to his stomach and hand while two others suffered minor hand injuries after hitting the bottom part of the artificial river.
The company's corporate communications manager, Rika Lestari, said the victims had been taken to a nearby hospital.
"Thank god there were no casualties in the accident. The victims are in recovery," Rika said in her statement.
She said the company was still communicating with the police regarding the investigation into the accident.
