JAKARTA - Radical groups in Indonesia and the region want to attack Singapore because it is seen as an ally of the West, and hurting the Republic will be a morale booster for terrorists, given the standing it has on the global stage.

The perception that Singapore is small and easily attacked is also why it is seen as a “prized target”, experts said as they weighed in on a new report by Singapore’s Internal Security Department (ISD).
