Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob's first year in office has produced significant reforms in the country's governance, but analysts say these changes serve his own ambition to stay in power.
On the face of it, the changes reflect a progressive administration. They include watershed anti-party hopping legislation and Malaysia's first-ever confidence and supply agreement (CSA) between the government and the opposition.
