BANGKOK - The newly appointed United Nations special envoy on Myanmar on Tuesday (Oct 26) said she aims to listen to the perspectives of all stakeholders in the country.

Dr Noeleen Heyzer, in her first comments to the media since the announcement of her appointment by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said she is "deeply honoured" to be taking on the role, which she will assume on Dec 13.
