SHAH ALAM, Selangor Police have arrested a man for alleged sexual abuse against a cat in Shah Alam, Selangor state.

The Shah Alam police’s acting officer in charge, Superintendent Ramsay Embol, said the incident occurred at an apartment building in the Kota Kemuning township on Nov 15.

He said the complainant, a woman, was with her husband when she saw a naked man who appeared to be sexually abusing a cat.

“The husband rushed to the fourth floor of the building to confront the suspect, but (the suspect) ran away after throwing the cat off the floor,” Supt Ramsay said, adding that a police report was filed on Nov 15.

“At around 4.45am the same day, police arrested a 33-year-old Nepali man,” Supt Ramsay said in a statement on Nov 16.

He added that the suspect is a security guard at the apartment and will be remanded until Nov 19.

It is believed that the cat survived the fall, but it could not be found.

Investigations showed that the suspect was drunk at the time.

The case is being investigated under Section 377 and Section 428 of the Penal Code. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
