PETALING JAYA – The largest ever Sports Toto 4D jackpot in Malaysian history, RM121 million (S$36.8 million), has been won by four punters.

In a Facebook post, the gaming company congratulated the winners.

Its chief executive Nerine Tan said the chance to strike it rich led to a surge in lottery ticket sales, with long queues at its outlets nationwide. Many people spent long hours lining up for a ticket.

This is the first time the jackpot has gone beyond RM100 million.

But the mega jackpot also prompted unruly behaviour. A scuffle broke out at an unnamed outlet where a woman was heard screaming in footage shared on Facebook.

At least three punters were seen punching a man and a woman who were believed to have jumped the queue.

While some recorded the incident, no one stepped in to stop the fight. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
