Namewee will be offered bail when his detention linked to the murder probe of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh ends on Nov 13.

Malaysian rapper Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, will be offered bail when his detention linked to the murder probe of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh ends on Nov 13, said Malaysia’s attorney-general.
Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar said on Nov 12 that police investigations have not yielded any leads linking Namewee to the death, local media reported.
He said the Attorney-General’s Chambers will take the appropriate action if investigations reveal new findings, adding that a statement will be issued on Nov 13.
The remand period for the rapper is expected to end on Nov 13, having already been extended on Nov 10
The police are awaiting the full post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of Hsieh’s death.
Wee, 42, who was in the hotel room where the 31-year-old Taiwanese influencer was found dead in a bathtub on Oct 22, is assisting with investigations. The police have said the two shared a “special relationship”
The case, initially classified as a sudden death, was later reclassified and investigated as a murder
Wee turned himself in on Nov 5
He has also been charged with drug use and possession, having tested positive for amphetamines, methamphetamine, ketamine and the cannabis derivative THC.
The next court mention for his drug offences is on Dec 18.
