Malaysian PM Najib launches new app for smartphones

PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has launched an official mobile application that allows the public to interact and share ideas and suggestions with him.

According to the description on Google Play Store and Apple Appstore, the app is "specifically designed for the convenience of users and to enable interaction with the Prime Minister of Malaysia".

Users are able to use the app to get the latest updates and announcements from Najib as well as stay connected to all of his official social media sites.

The interactive application also allows users to participate in campaigns and polls, to share their opinions and comments with Najib, as well as to learn about his history in politics.

Developed by Resonate Digital Sdn Bhd, the app is available in English, Catalan, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish and can be downloaded for both the iOS and Android operating systems.

The app was launched on Oct 9 for iOS devices and Oct 11 for Android.
