Malaysia bans yellow Bersih 4 t-shirts, materials on rally

PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - The Home Ministry has issued an order to ban Bersih 4 t-shirts and publications related to the Bersih 4 rally.

The order dated Aug 27, 2015 and signed by Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, comes under the Printing Presses and Publications (Control of Undesirable Publications) (No 22) Order 2015.

Prohibited under the order are, among others, the publication, reproduction, sales, distribution or possession of publication which is likely to be prejudicial to public order and security, and contrary to any law.

The prohibition includes:

- Any yellow coloured clothing and which contains the words "Bersih 4";

- Any other printed material and pamphlet which leads to the Bersih 4 rally.
