KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia has appointed Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun as the new Special Branch director, replacing Datuk Seri Akhil Bulat, it was reported on Tuesday.

Mohamad Fuzi was previously Royal Malaysian Police Management Department director, the Maiaysian Insider said.

Akhil - who was with the police force for 38 years - has retired at the age of 62, the report said.
