SEREMBAN – A lorry driver was killed after his vehicle collided with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) on Malaysia’s North-South Expressway.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the man, who was in his 40s, was killed on the spot when the crash occurred at 12.50pm on July 14.

He said two passengers in the SUV suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

“A woman who was in the front passenger seat suffered a broken leg while another woman passenger suffered a broken arm.

“The male driver escaped injury,” he said.

Both vehicles were heading south when the incident happened at the 266.9km mark on the expressway. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
