Leaders of the three Malay parties in the Perikatan Nasional are jockeying for leverage which is causing a split over whether Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin should continue as prime minister in the event PN wins the next general election.
This comes amid a fierce scramble over seat allocations ahead of an expected snap poll, with Mr Muhyiddin keen on seeking a new mandate, having grappled to keep his slim majority intact since being sworn in four months ago.
