Indonesia widens export ban to crude and refined palm oil

JAKARTA - Indonesia has widened the scope of its export ban on raw materials for cooking oil to include crude and refined palm oil, in the latest policy flip-flop.

The announcement on Wednesday night (April 27) came just a day after Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said only the export of refined, bleached and deodorised (RBD) palm olein would be banned.
