JAKARTA - Indonesia is set to revamp regulations to attract its overseas medical graduates to return home to work, as it aims to improve health services across its vast archipelago, boost doctor-population ratio, and stem the flow of citizens seeking medical treatment abroad.
The revamp will shorten the time taken for returning Indonesian doctors or fresh medical graduates from foreign universities to receive their licence to practise in Indonesia. The process currently takes as long as several years.
