SINGAPORE – At the high-level Group of 20 summit in November, the world was given a glimpse into what the future might hold for Indonesia, as more than

1,400 electric vehicles (EVs)

transported leaders, security personnel and journalists around the resort island of Bali.

It signalled the country’s quest to become a regional hub for EVs, as it pivots to more renewable energy to reduce its carbon footprint.
