MANILA - Even as Covid-19 infections fall with greater numbers being vaccinated, hospitals in the United States and Britain are still in need of more nurses, and they are increasingly turning to the Philippines for reinforcement.

But the Philippines has stopped processing applications of nurses seeking to work abroad, forcing hospitals overseas to make do with what they have.
