- The Mid Valley outlet of Auntie Anne’s Malaysia will be closed for thorough disinfection and cleaning, the pretzel store said, after a social media post of one of its staff members kissing pretzel dough went viral.

Auntie Anne’s Malaysia said in an announcement that the staff member, who was formerly employed in the Kuala Lumpur outlet, was terminated immediately after the incident.

“At Auntie Anne’s Malaysia, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety for our customers and staff. We do not condone or tolerate any actions that compromise these standards,” it said in a Facebook post on Oct 8.

“As part of our proactive measures, the outlet in question will be temporarily closed for thorough disinfection and cleaning,” it added.

The outlet, it said, would reopen once the disinfection process is completed and all necessary safety protocols have been confirmed.

It also assured customers that their safety and well-being will always be its top priority. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
