ANHUI - A woman in China has found unexpected online fame after she was photographed caring for her elderly father.

Ms Liu Qinxia, 43, quit her job after her 83-year-old father suffered a stroke in April this year and became paralysed, reported Sohu News.

The youngest of four children, Ms Liu made the decision to care for him full-time despite having two school-going children to support, as she could not bear to see her father lie in bed all day.

Besides feeding and bathing him, changing his diapers and giving him massages every day, Ms Liu also takes him for walks - without fail - three times a day.

The duo, with Ms Liu's arms wrapped around her father, take more than an hour to traverse a 300m route from their home in Hefei city and back.

Photos of Ms Liu and her father on one of their daily walks have gone viral, with netizens hailing her filial piety and dubbing her "China's good daughter".
