Their grandparents emigrated to eastern Europe in the early 20th Century. Now, displaced by the war in Ukraine, thousands of ethnic Koreans – or Koryoin – have sought refuge in South Korea. But many find difficulty adjusting to Korean culture.

Ms Pak Taia remembers the day bombs rained down on Kyiv, Ukraine.
