BEIJING - There is intense speculation online in China surrounding actress Vicky Zhao after video-streaming platforms removed her works from their libraries on Thursday (Aug 26).

The billionaire, who is best known for her portrayal of Little Swallow in the period drama My Fair Princess between 1998 and 1999, has previously been embroiled in corporate scandals and, among other things, was banned from China's stock market for five years for misleading investors with her husband in 2017.
