SEOUL - South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said it was difficult for Seoul to accept a US demand to adopt “flexibility” over operations of the US military now stationed in South Korea, reported Yonhap News Agency on Aug 25.

Mr Lee made the comment on a flight to Washington, where he is scheduled to hold a summit meeting with US President Donald Trump later that day.

Mr Lee said he expected to discuss national security issues, South Korea’s defence spending, and details of a trade agreement that was agreed upon by the countries in late July, Yonhap said. REUTERS
