SHANGHAI (CAIXIN GLOBAL) - Shanghai health authorities have come under fire online for separating very young Covid-19 patients from their parents as the city wrestles with its worst outbreak since the start of the pandemic.

Images and videos posted on Chinese social media sites on Friday (April 1) showed dozens hospitalised in crowded wards and hallways, without their parents being seen.
