The leaders of the Quad grouping of nations yesterday said they oppose all attempts to "change the status quo by force, particularly in the Indo-Pacific", in a veiled reference to tensions between China and Taiwan amid the war in Ukraine. The United States, Japan, India and Australia also agreed on a new initiative to curb illegal fishing.
