TOKYO - The Olympic torch relay kicked off in Tokyo on Friday (July 9), two weeks before the Games, but with little fanfare and plenty of disappointment and even resentment.
In an attempt to rally the Japanese people and bring the Games closer to them, the torch has already traversed 46 out of Japan's 47 prefectures.
