A shining corridor, lined with books from floor to ceiling, welcomes children and their families to the Zhongshuge bookstore in Foshan in China's southern Guangdong province.
The bookstore chain opened its 33rd and latest outlet in Foshan on Wednesday.
Zhongshuge has made waves in the architectural world in recent years, with several of its surreal, maze-like stores designed by Shanghai-based architecture firm X+Living.
The stores' signature mirrored ceilings and sleek tile floors bounce light off the curved bookcases, which have built-in backlights to illuminate their contents, and create the illusion of a much larger space.
