Honest about his roots, Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba admitted he rode on his father’s coattails to political success.

“It is undeniably true that I would not have been elected without the name recognition of my father,” the 67-year-old said in an interview in September. “But it is definitely not true that all next-generation politicians are incompetent.”
