Hong Kong firefighters fought a raging blaze in a building in the city’s Central district on Oct 18, disrupting traffic in the main business area.
Officers were alerted to the fire at 4.24 pm in Central, at the address of Chinachem Tower, according to the South China Morning Post.
The building houses 25 stories of offices and lower floors of retail shops, according to its website.
Two men and a woman were taken to the hospital, according to local broadcaster RTHK, which cited firefighters as saying 50 people had fled the blaze.
The police said they received reports of three men trapped in a lift, and of three adults and a child stuck in a nearby convenience store, the Post reported. BLOOMBERG
