Outbreak linked to bar in Beijing

China's capital Beijing said yesterday it was facing an "explosive" Covid-19 outbreak connected to a bar, as surging infections forced it to delay the reopening of most schools.

In Shanghai, residents in 15 of its 16 districts were ordered to take polymerase chain reaction tests this weekend, during which people in five districts were not allowed to leave home.
