BEIJING - The sudden takedown of social media accounts run by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) groups at some universities in China, including Peking, Tsinghua and Fudan, will render more students vulnerable to loneliness, or worse depression, experts said.
That is because the accounts provide an important platform for young people to connect and feel accepted, they told The Straits Times.
