China will remain steadfast on Ukraine despite calls at home to reverse stance

Some of China's leading scholars are advocating that it act to help bring about the end of the Ukraine war, saying it is in the country's interest to do so.

They range from those who think the war provides China with opportunities and advantages and that it should not abandon the partnership with Russia, to those who think Beijing should ditch its neutral stance on the war and ditch Moscow.
