BEIJING – China’s top judicial and law enforcement authorities on June 9 unveiled draft guidelines aimed at toughening penalties for cyberbullying, after a string of high-profile deaths exposed how regulatory measures are inadequate to curb the abuses.
The Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and the Ministry of Public Security are seeking public comments on the guidelines until June 25.
