BEIJING (AFP) - China said on Thursday (April 25) its navy warned off a French warship that had entered the Taiwan Strait earlier this month, and lodged an official protest with Paris over the move.
The Chinese Defence Ministry said the French warship "illegally entered China's territorial waters" on April 7.
Beijing sees self-governed and democratic Taiwan as its territory awaiting reunification.
