TAIPEI – A Taiwanese activist arrested in China in 2022 after travelling there to take part in competitions for the board game Go was recently handed a nine-year jail sentence
This is the first time that China has jailed a Taiwanese person on such charges, according to Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council (MAC).
