Speaking during a rare face-to-face meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Beijing yesterday, Chinese President Xi Jinping sought Indonesia's support in upholding "open regionalism", as Beijing steps up efforts against Washington's push to marshal regional countries against China. Mr Widodo, as president of the Group of 20 this year, invited Mr Xi to the grouping's summit in November.
