SEOUL – By marrying a British woman and with a baby on the way, South Korean actor Song Joong-ki has become a part of the country’s growing number of multicultural families, who are eligible for certain government benefits to help them integrate better into a largely homogenous society.
A five-year blueprint for such families is due to be announced in March to address their changing needs, such as stronger academic and career support for their children.
