HEMIS – As the mountain sun beats down on the school terrace, Jigmet Odber fires a volley of general knowledge questions at his schoolmates. “What is the capital of Assam?” he asks, speaking into a microphone that he holds in one hand and clutching a paper listing his questions in the other.
“Dispur”, hollers someone from among four rows of students seated neatly opposite him on the rough cement floor. “Dispur is the right answer,” replies Jigmet, 11, before moving on to his next question.
