SYDNEY – US President Donald Trump’s plans to impose wide-ranging tariffs on America’s trading partners, including allies, present a make-or-break challenge for Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to secure an exemption ahead of a looming election.
Mr Trump announced on Feb 13 that he will impose reciprocal tariffs on all competitors and allies that tax US imports, just three days after revealing plans for 25 per cent steel and aluminium tariffs.
