Commuters waiting for free bus services outside Tanah Merah MRT station yesterday evening as train services on the East-West Line between Pasir Ris and Paya Lebar towards Joo Koon were delayed by up to 40 minutes. A police car was stationed there to maintain order. The delay, which was due to a power fault near Tanah Merah, happened just before 6pm. SMRT staff at the station were seen taking down a poster on free bus services as normal services resumed at about 7pm.
