Passengers tweet pictures of Monday evening's breakdown of Bukit Panjang LRT

SINGAPORE - Passengers walked along the train tracks of the Bukit Panjang LRT after service was disrupted on Monday evening.

Train operator SMRT tweeted at 7.20pm that there was an estimated 20 minutes of additional travelling time on the Bukit Panjang LRT.

At 7.44pm, it updated: "Due to train fault, Bukit Panjang LRT is running on Service B only."

Service resumed at 8.15pm.

Passenger Ms Ang Zeng Xi tweeted that she walked the tracks for the first time on Monday.

Another photo on Twitter showed a train had stalled near Bukit Panjang station.
