Committee of Supply debate: MHA, MOE and MTI
Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean is expected to respond to MPs' comments on whether the Home Team has enough manpower to cope with a changing threat landscape when Parliament sits later this morning. DPM Teo and his ministry colleagues are also expected to comment on whether Singapore is prepared to deal with the threat of terrorism, cybercrimes, and drugs at the Committee of Supply debate.
The annual debate sees MPs speak about the spending plans of each of the 15 ministries and the Prime Minister's Office.
Later today, MPs will also debate the spending plans and policies of the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Topics they will touch on include meeting growing aspirations for higher education, better career counselling, the culture of tuition and special schools. Rochor Canal gets fresh look under ABC Waters project
Strategically located against an alluring backdrop of modern and historical buildings, the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) project at Rochor Canal is set to enhance the vibrancy of downtown Singapore. It is just the latest project to be completed.
ABC Waters is a long-term initiative that aims to transform Singapore's drains, canals and reservoirs into streams, rivers and lakes that are also recreational spaces. More than 100 potential sites have been identified for ABC Waters Implementation by 2030. - SAMANTHA BOH

China's finance minister to speak on economic reforms
China's finance minister Lou Jiwei and National Development and Reform Commission chief Xu Shaoshi will meet reporters today to speak on the country's economic growth and reform measures. This comes a day after Premier Li Keqiang announced a growth target of around 7 per cent for 2015, lower than last year's 7.5 per cent. Mr Lou is expected to signal how the central government will finance infrastructure projects and welfare plans, after it took away the financing rights of local governments last year. - LEE SEOK HWAI
RHB and DMG to announce new stake-holding details
RHB Banking Group and DMG & Partners Securities will be making an official announcement on new stake-holding details and the unveiling of a new corporate identity for DMG & Partners Securities in Singapore. Mr Mike Chan, chief executive officer of RHB Investment Bank and Mr Robert Huray, chief executive officer of DMG & Partners Securities, will also share DMG's blueprints for 2015. - MICHELLE LEE
