BEIJING - With the party congress done and dusted, China’s top leaders are shifting gears and turning their attention to external concerns, inviting foreign leaders to visit Beijing this week as they look to shore up ties with key partners.

Leaders from Vietnam, Pakistan, Tanzania and Germany are visiting China this week, in a flurry of diplomatic activity following the twice-a-decade party congress that saw President Xi Jinping receive a third term in power.
