Singapore's cashback kings: ShopBack founders paid themselves $1,500 a month for 3 years

For the first three years after Henry Chan and Joel Leong founded ShopBack, they paid themselves $1,500 a month. Their cashback shopping app is now in 10 markets, Executive Editor Sumiko Tan finds out.

SINGAPORE - Shopping can earn you money. And in Henry Chan's case, we are talking $18,698 in cold, hard cash.

That's the amount of "lifetime earnings" he has chalked up so far on ShopBack, the shopping platform he started with his friend Joel Leong.
