SINGAPORE - A fashion apparel shop at Changi Airport Terminal 3, run completely by Singapore Polytechnic students, was relaunched on Saturday after a revamp.
The shop, which is called SPELL - short for the Singapore Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Living Laboratory - is run and managed by students who handle tasks such as marketing, sales and sourcing for merchandise. It first opened in 2011.
Digital interactive signs have now been added to its exterior and the inside was given a major overhaul with additional lighting, a new layout and brighter colours, a far cry from its black paint and furnishings previously.
Other new high-tech features which will allow the store to be run better include a remote teaching system in which live cameras enable lecturers to give students feedback based on what they see happening in the store.
