SINGAPORE - About 5,600 children were enrolled in 28 kindergartens run by the Ministry of Education (MOE) last year, with eight more centres opening their doors this year.
First set up in 2014, MOE kindergartens are meant to provide affordable pre-school education for children aged five and six, and raise the quality of practices in the diverse pre-school scene here.
