The police have arrested a 46-year-old man for the murder of an elderly lady.
Police said in a media release on Wednesday that they were alerted to the incident at about 12.27pm last Monday.
Upon responding to the scene at Blk 875 Yishun St 81, a 62-year-old woman was sent to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. But she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead later the same day at about 1.30pm.
Police subsequently arrested the suspect on Tuesday in connection to the woman's death. If found guilty for the offence of murder, he may be given the death penalty.
