The first Digital Healthcare Week started on Monday at Marina Bay Sands with the theme, 'Delivering the 21st century healthcare, riding the digital wave'.

Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower, Dr Amy Khor, speaking at the opening of the event, said: "IT and technology can act as a force multiplier by reducing the need for manpower for certain tasks".

Through to Thursday, policy-makers, healthcare workers and executives will meet healthcare IT professionals and companies to discuss how patient care can be improved and be made more efficient with the help of technology.
