Project to help those with illness leads to creation of 700 colourful sensory mats for use in therapy

At Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, a community sensory mat sewing project called "Handmade Heartmade" has produced Singapore's largest collection of 700 handmade sensory mats.

Made over four months by individuals, schools, associations and community groups, as well as patients themselves, the hand-sewn mats are created for therapeutic use by people with dementia.
