Four youths arrested for suspected involvement in loanshark harassment

Four teens were arrested on Wednesday for suspected involvement in loanshark harassment. Three of suspects, aged 15, and the fourth, aged 16, were responsible for four cases of harassment involving locking of debtors' and other homeowners' gates.

One case involved setting fire near a Housing Board flat in Bukit Merah view. They will be charged in court on Feb 14 for loanshark harassment.

The police statement on Wednesday said: "Police have zero tolerance against loanshark harassment. No effort will be spared to nab them to face the full consequences of their misdeeds regardless of their age."

The public can call 999 or 1800-924-5664 if they suspect anyone involved in illegal loansharking activities.
