A three-minute video news talkshow by Chinese newspaper Lianhe Zaobao will be aired on StarHub's FreeView channel, E City, from today.

Called Zaobao Keywords, the talkshow aims to help viewers understand major news stories. Three keywords related to the day's news will be selected and discussed by a journalist and the show's host.

The programme was launched in November 2014 on Zaobao's digital platform, targeted at those who are on the go, or looking for daily news highlights. It is available at 5.30pm on weekdays on Zaobao's mobile apps and website.

From today, the day's episode will also be aired on StarHub TV's E City (Channels 111 and 825) at 7.55pm. There will be repeat telecasts at 10pm on the same day, as well as 9am and 10am the next day (8am and 9am on Saturdays).

The broadcast of Zaobao Keywords on E City marks a collaboration between Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and StarHub, with the two companies joining hands in advertising sales, creation and carriage of content, data analytics and marketing.

Said Ms Han Yong May, associate editor of Lianhe Zaobao: "Journalists have made the transition from print to digital. Producing videos is now part and parcel of our work in the newsroom."

Ms Lee Soo Hui, head of StarHub's media business unit, said: "The airing of Zaobao Keywords is a key beginning of more collaborations to come between StarHub and SPH."
