Successful women, including Singapore sprint queen Shanti Pereira, headlined the annual Her World Young Woman Achiever forum as panellists yesterday.
The 21-year-old was among seven women who shared their stories of success with more than 100 participants at the event at Millenia Walk.
Organised by Singapore Press Holdings' Her World magazine and online women's portal herworldPLUS, the event also included an art market and workshops.
To reflect its expanded focus, this year's edition was named Her World Young Woman Achiever Social, and in honour of International Women's Day, it was themed "Define Your Own Success".
Her World executive editor Penelope Chan said: "Success is no longer defined in narrow, traditional terms: how well you do in school, how much money you make and whether you marry well. Modern women now have infinite paths to success.
"I hope the Her World Young Woman Achiever Social inspires young women to dream big and loud, passionately and proudly.
"We want them to come away from the event feeling hopeful and confident that their dreams and goals are achievable and ultimately, that they are already carving out their own definitions of success."
